My Story

Kelsi Haugaard Life Coach

Who Is

Kelsi?

I am a Somatic Life Coach and Yoga Instructor from Seattle, Washington, passionate about supporting teenagers and adults in building a deeper, more trusting relationship with themselves.

My work is rooted in the belief that we all have an inner wisdom within us. Through somatic coaching & movement, poses (Asana), mindfulness, meditation (Dhyana), breathwork (Pranayama) journaling, and self-reflection.

I support people in reconnecting with their bodies, intuition, and overall wellbeing so they can create a life that feels aligned with who they truly are.

My own journey of self-discovery began in 2020, during my senior year of college, after the ending of a five-and-a-half-year relationship. At the time, I felt disconnected from myself, uncertain about my future, and struggled with selfconfidence, self-worth, and understanding who I was beyond the expectations and identities the world and I had created for myself.

I was navigating a new season of life where I had to rediscover my independence, my passions, my dreams, and my relationship with myself. Although it was a challenging chapter, it became the beginning of one of the most transformative journeys of my life.

I started taking small steps toward caring for my wellbeing. I found yoga through Yoga with Adriene on YouTube, discovered meditation and self-love practices through Rochelle Fox’s programs, and began exploring journaling, mindfulness, and personal growth. These practices completely shifted the way I experienced myself and the world around me.

Through consistent practice, I began to create a relationship with myself rooted in compassion, awareness, and self-trust. I learned how to connect with my emotions, listen to my intuition, understand my patterns, and begin healing the parts of myself that felt disconnected or unseen.

I discovered that healing is not about becoming someone new—it is about coming back home to yourself.

After graduating from Washington State University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Development, I wasn’t completely sure what career path I wanted to follow. A close friend encouraged me to explore life coaching, and something immediately resonated. Within the same week, I enrolled in a Health and Life Coaching certification program.

Through my coaching education, I continued my own personal growth journey while learning powerful tools to support others. I later completed additional life coaching training focused on beliefs, identity, and deeper self-exploration. These experiences helped me understand how our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and experiences shape the way we see ourselves and move through the world.

I learned that many of the challenges I experienced—self-doubt, fear of rejection, feeling like I wasn’t enough, and feeling disconnected—were connected to deeper beliefs I carried about myself. Through awareness, compassion, and intentional practices, I was able to begin transforming those patterns.

This personal experience is one of the reasons I am so passionate about coaching. I understand what it feels like to feel disconnected from yourself, and I also know how powerful it can be to rebuild that connection.

Alongside my coaching background, I have practiced yoga for over five years and completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Thailand. I am also certified in Somatic Developmental Trauma Therapy, allowing me to integrate body-based healing, nervous system awareness, and compassionate self-inquiry into my work.

I create a safe and encouraging space where you can be seen, heard, understood, and empowered.

I am here to be a guide, a source of accountability, and your personal cheerleader as you navigate your own wellness and self-discovery journey.
