The External World Is a Mirror For us

The Importance of The External World Being A Mirror For Us

The most beautiful and challenging thing about the external world being a mirror for us is it shows us where we are needing to move toward growth.

That we have the opportunity to look at the external world (physical world/earth) to guide us toward learning more about ourselves through people, situations, nature, etc.

There is a constant mirror right in front of us.

We either are projecting onto that mirror or we are choosing to see what is being presented, so that we can grow and learn and move forward in our personal growth.

When I was in Thailand, I was sitting at the healing center I was doing my yoga teacher training at and looking out at the ocean.

I saw the reflection of the blue sky on the water below when it was a sunny day.

On the cloudy and rainy days I also experienced the reflection of the gray color of the clouds onto the ocean.

The reason I am sharing this experience of mine is because we are exactly like the sky.

Just as the sky reflects blue or gray depending on the day, onto the ocean, we reflect our experiences onto the external world.

We get to choose to have these people, situations, and nature teach us.

There can be many challenging and uncomfortable experiences with this, the fears that are inside of us may come out, our insecurities may come out, the things that we would like to ignore come out.

Or we can choose to acknowledge these fears, insecurities, etc. and connect with them to be able to move towards healing.

For myself, I believe that that when we acknowledge and see these things coming up inside of us, that is an opportunity for healing.

A space being held for each one of us to feel into the emotions, sensations, and feelings that arise when these are getting triggered.

Each person, situation, experience, comes into our lives for a reason.

It helps to bring up and acknowledge what we are needing to connect with the most, if we choose to do so.

The places where we feel the most discomfort is where and when the healing happens.

It doesn’t mean that this is easy or will be easy to move through.

Believing in ourselves to know that anything that comes are way we will be able move through it with compassion and grace.

Connecting with people around us that can support us on this journey, we are never alone.

With this being shared I want to present you with a question to bring with you into your day.

Where in your life do you feel you are being called to bring in healing and growth?

I know that moving into the uncomfortable is scary and it’s easier to want to stay in our comfort zone and not connect with what is being presented to us.

When we do connect with the lessons and that being showed and move through them, so much light, clarity, and healing is presented.

The very last thought I would like to share with you all is that these lessons we can start out small, we do not need to dive head first into the deeper and more challenging things right away, the time will present itself to connect with those.

An example would be that traffic can be a beautiful teacher for us to embody patience, breath, and deciding how we would like to use that time.

Would you like to be frustrated that cars are not moving or is there an opportunity to listen to a podcast you really enjoy, listen t your favorite album or song, listen to a voice message a friend sent you.

I hope that you feel that you were able to take something away from me sharing these thoughts with you today!

So much love to all you beautiful souls! <3
