Keep Coming Back Home To Yourself
The Importance of Coming Back Home To Yourself
You may be thinking, “Kelsi, what do you mean when you say coming back home to yourself?”
Well what I mean when I say that, is coming back into connection with yourself.
That looks like connecting with your inner world, interests, hobbies, passions, routines, etc.
These are the things that express who we are as humans.
It’s a way that we are able to express ourselves. The truth about us comes through in how we express ourselves.
These hobbies, interests, passions, etc. are not us, they are expressions of us.
It’s how we can show our truth on this earth as well as speaking our truth.
The reason I feel that coming back home to yourself every single day is so important is because it connects us to our truth and the deeper parts of ourselves.
Those things help to remind us of who we are and what we feel most connected to.
When we are able to connect to our inner world, these passions, interests, hobbies, etc. it helps us connect to ourselves on a deeper level.
We get to truly know our soul and what we need to bring us centered, grounded, ease, comfort, and the feeling of being seen and heard.
I have noticed at least for myself when I have moved from being single to in a relationship or visa versa.
I have had to transition and each time come back home to myself.
To find myself again in a relationship or find myself while I’m single.
It feels like the biggest constant that I have noticed in my life, learning how to come back home to myself and what that looks like for me.
It can take up to three months for me to finally get grounded back into myself.
When coming back home to yourself, be kind to yourself through transitions.
Transitions may look different each time or the may look the same and you are then able to recognize that you are in the midst of a transition and you will find groundeness and ease soon enough.
Taking small steps toward connecting with yourself again through transitions.
Asking yourself what is ONE thing that I can do for myself today to help me center or ground?
Another thing that came up for me was wanting to bring curiosity when I say the phrase “Come Back Home To Yourself”
What comes up for you?
Is it things that you are passionate about, interested in, etc.
I want you to take the time to write down what came to the forefront of your mind when I shared that phrase with you.
